WIBIDA Spring Conference!
The Wisconsin Branch of the International Dyslexia Association had our Spring Conference today! It was so wonderful to speak with so many teachers and family members who are devoted to empowering people with dyslexia with the right tools and resources they need to be successful in school and life. As a board member I am honored to be a part of this organization! Creative Kids Rock donated a raffle item to help raise funds for WIBIDA! Participants were able to experience a dyslexia simulation led by Connie Day. Dyslexia is an invisable disability that is highly misunderstood by others It is our hope that today we helped empower others who help people with dyslexia.
A huge thank you to the America's Farmers Grow Communities fund sponsored by Monsanto!
The Wisconsin Branch of the International Dyslexia Association or WIBIDA received a generous $2,500.00 donation toward the Assistive Technology Conference to be held April 18, 2015 from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities fund sponsored by Monsanto. The Keith and Paula Rohm family from Seymour Wisconsin won the award and designated WIBIDA as the recipient. WIBIDA used the donation to purchase technology to be given away at the conference. Navigating the world of Dyslexia can be challenging for students, parents, teachers, and those who care for dyslexics. This conference is designed to help parents, teachers, tutors, or anyone interested in learning more about dyslexia.
to embrace their gift!
